Hi, I am Matt, CTO at CoinList (coinlist.co), a regulated platform used by 12M+ verified investors. I write about engineering judgment, the craft of maintainable systems, and what AI-assisted development actually changes about the work.

Before CoinList I was at Shopify, where I built the company’s first machine-learning platform. I maintain tiny-orm, a small Rust ORM, and I was a core maintainer of the Feast feature store for machine learning that is now owned by Kubeflow.
